Final Comments:

If we come to face with the reality that disasters involving mass loss of life will be recurring events with all the necessary concerns associated with them, the Beirut Memorial On Line will hopefully serve as an on line resource to offer partial aid in those events. These events do not have to have terrorism as their root cause, but can take the form of natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, etc.) or accidents (plane & boat accidents, etc.). This can be looked at as a "trust" of sorts to facilitate information communication from people/families that have been through extreme hardship to individuals currently facing crisis. Although an extremely difficult time emotionally, the information provided and communicated can offer assistance and offset victims and loved ones from having to build from scratch in a time of crisis.

This is still a "work in progress" and probably always will be as information evolves. The current skeletal template exists to give an idea of the direction that this project is headed. This is being set up as a philathropy effort, one in which this author believes that donated creative talent by artists, computer professionals, diplomats, educational researchers, politicians, and statesmen/women can break hate-revenge cycles, forge cultural appreciation and impact world peace. For the most part, I will not take this all on my shoulders. I think I can serve this best in the role of keeping the military abreast of what I am doing, and point out all the crossover, but focus more on serving the families interests vs. the military's [although much consultation, resources and manpower have been generously donated by the U.S. Government/Military once they became aware of this effort]. In the other sections of this site, it is hoped to get donations of effort and information. I am hoping governments [foreign and domestic] and appropriate organizations will feel lead to help supply chunks of the proposed pieces.
