VIETNAM SCENES
Steve Brodsky [USN(FMF)/Prior Service - Vietnam]Steve Brodsky was a USN Hospital Corpsman in Vietnam. Although wounded himself via small arms fire, he elected to pass on recieving the Purple Heart. Steve was a friend and Hospital Corps School classmate of Medal of Honor recipient HM3 Wayne Caron. Steve pointed out to me that the MOH picture of Wayne Caron is in fact from the Corps school class photo. Steve helped me write a lot of the Vietnam sequences for the screenplay and ensure accuracy. (Neckerchief to identify corpsman, IntraVenous "juice" can vs. a bag, etc.) I named the corpsman in the screenplay "Ski" after him.
Terry Dixon was a Marine in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam. He is helping me through Veterans groups in getting my Beirut Memorial On Line page linked in through various sites. It now is listed off of the main USMC historical sites page:

Bill McBride was a Marine in Vietnam, a platoon leader for a recon unit and also a Purple Heart recipient. He was HN James McGrath's (MIA*KIA from Vietnam) platoon leader and was on patrol when McGrath was lost. I have come to know Bill on line and he has told me the complete story in regards to loosing McGrath that day. I met him via seeing McGraths name on a Vietnam Wall on the Web page. This lead to discussions to where they are eventually going to make a Corpsman/BAS section on the site to honor Navy Corpsman killed in Vietnam. A number someone quoted me as 620. He has helped me with some of the accuracy of the flak-jackets, and nature of helicopter (CH-46A) insertion/extractions of recon patrols and some perspective about the Purple Heart medal. I named the patrol leader in the screenplay after him for his help, and named the date 3 Aug, 1967 and place, Phu Bai, after the date and place McGrath was lost.
Master Chief Larson is currently the Command Master Chief at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD (the President's Hospital) He has provided me with some historical perspective and advice on points of contact to facilitate cooperation with the US Navy and USMC.
FUTURISTIC COMPUTER/COMMUNICATION SCENES
The Emerging Technologies ListservThis listserv proved critical in the advice and design of the futuristic computer/communication sequences of the screenplay.
